This is a National Funding Program from the Spanish Government to support a 4-year fellowship for a PhD Student - Irene Olivas Cano - who will perform her PhD in our lab at the CIPF.

Flipping the coin: 'Actin' for good - Targeting  actin protrusion in invasion (FLIP-ACTIN)

Sponsor:
Ministeri de Ciència i Innovació – Agencia Estatal de Investigació del Ministeri Espanyol

This is a National Funding Program from the Spanish Government. Thanks to this funding, our Group at the CIPF in Valencia can start a new research Project related to how to stop cancer Cell invasion and further investigate mechanisms related to cell migration and invasion linked to metabolism. This funding includes support for a Research Assistant and a 4-year fellowship for a PhD Student!

Sponsor:
Generalitat Valenciana. Conselleria d’ Innovacio, Universitats, Ciencia ISocietat Digital

This is a highly competitive Regional program for Returning Excellent Talent to Spain, similar to the Ramon y Cajal funding from the Spanish Government. Thanks to this funding, Dr MA Juanes came back to Spain in 2022 (after 14 years from her PhD) to set up her new research group as a Group Leader at the Centro de Investigacion Principe Felipe (CIPF) in Valencia Spain

Molecular coordination between cytoskeletal networks in cell migration and its impacts on development and disease

Sponsor:
Academy of Medical Science (AMS), United Kingdom

This funder awarded to Dr Mari Juanes with a highly competitive Springboard Award which offers a bespoke package of support to outstanding Early career Biomedical Researchers whose innovative projects have a real-world impact. Thanks to this, Dr Juanes built her own (and first) lab at the National Horizons Centre, a facility from Teesside University in the UK in 2021.
